The little one had her first ever cross country race in school. She was pretty excited and was talking non stop about it for the past two weeks! And I can see why…
The race started with a senior student leader leading the pack. They ran across the school field, climbed over hay bales, ran around the school, went down the school gully and up the slope, climbed over hay bales again, jumped over half barrels and all the way to the finish line. Phew! I must say, that’s quite a bit of work for any 5 year olds. But amazingly, every single one of them completed the entire race! Well done! Paki paki!
Honestly, we prefer this to the elaborate school sports day setup we have back home as we feel it’s more enriching and meaningful.
