Roti Kirai

When we were younger, Roti Kirai is always the other alternative my mum would cook whenever we were bored with eating rice, bread, pasta and the likes.
Roti Kirai or Roti Jala or lacey crepe got its name because it resembles a net. A special (weird?) tool is used to create the ‘net’ effect.

The ingredients used are simple but the process of making Roti Kirai is anything but simple. In fact, it’s quite laborious. Suffice to say, I finally got my Roti Kirai fix, made by mummy dearest.

Chicken curry to go along with my Roti Kirai.

Ta-da!! One of life’s simple pleasures. 😉
