Yesterday, Miss E invited me to Room 16 to look at another project that she made. She explained that throughout the Rugby World Cup season the children in Room 16 have shared many information about the competition with each other. A hands-on session saw the children of Room 16 redesigning the rugby jerseys of the participating countries. Additionally, they have to do some background research on the country that they were attached to. Miss E had picked up Tonga from the bowl dip. The jerseys were hung proudly around the classroom for all to see.
I’m delighted to see that the children are exposed to many current events that’s happening around them. It might seemed to some that it’s just another art piece that they do in school, but I can see that the children have put in a lot of effort and pride in completing this activity. It makes them feel that they are a part of something big and that their opinions does matter.
Here’s some of the redesigned jerseys.
