Technology Day- Rototuna Primary School

On the last day of the term, Miss E of Room 16 had showcased her project on Technology Day. I love the way how her teacher at Rototuna Primary School engages her entirely by supporting her learning according to her pace and capabilities. Throughout last term, children from Room 16 were exposed to different forms of technology; pencils, kites, windmills, paper planes, bridges to name a few. They read about it, talked about it, build ideas around it, materialise it and they got to explore more on the topic in Mystery Creek which I think was great.

During her showcase, which was in conjunction of Spring Festival, we can see that she had ample opportunities to think through her ideas and explore her abilities and limitations. Being the new kid in town, it comforts me to see that she is steadily getting along with her new classmates and I’m so glad to see displaying more independent thinking in her learning route. Now, I can’t wait to see what’s in store for the next session. 🙂
